A historia é boa mas muito complexa e muitas historias paralelas no meio
Pouca explicação para fatos que realmente mereciam ser detalhados.
A enrolaçao da historia principal deixa a desejar tambem.
Queria ler o novel
Se alguem souber na versao portuguesa(BR) ou em Espanhol latino me avisa :'😉

i don't care about other people thinking this story is shit just because it contains rape and kanou is being harsh etc....kanou is a yakuza and owned lending money firm of course it explains why his atittude is like that. i love the story that i see it that no matter how evil kanou is, ayase is his only angel and can do good things too and his love for ayase is strong that he is willing to die for him....though he always do force ayase but i just see it as he is just being dominant and just want to show to all people on the story that he is a possesive freak and want them to know that ayase is his only.....i love the combination of mafia, gang fights here and comedy...i wish more exposure on someya and honda and kuba misao wehehhehe

i am biggest fan of this manga....i always wait patiently for every update and if the book is available i definitely buy it as long as it was in english....i hope the authors/artist will continue this story weheehhehe

Y R PEOPLE OK WITH RAPE?!?! THE UKE WOULD MOST PROBABLY SUFFER FROM A MENTAL ILLNESS BC OF THIS!!!! Ok ok, this is yaoi so fck morals, BUT SERIOUSLY??!!!
i swear I felt like I was the one violating the uke when I was reading this eugh.
Honestly rape IN YAOI doesn't really bother me that much, so long as love is not involved. Situations like these seriously makes love in yaoi sound cheap. Honestly, have some respect for the readers here. And if you are a reader, take this advice from a person who's read (and watched) A LOT of yaoi: HAVE SOME STANDARDS.

Don't understand why it became a classic

As I have stated above, it really is a mystery for me. Ayase is supposed to love Kaoru, because this is a yaoi, that's the outcome everyone expects, but I can't see how the author could unravel all the knots they have tied in the plot. The nature of their realationship is not romantic at all, and with the way Kaoru treats Ayase like a cum dumpster and seems to have problems controlling his emotions when it comes to Ayase, any streak of romance between these two will be really force and clearly just for the sake of "the yaoi". The two keep running around in circle, with misunderstanding stemming from not willing to properly communicate. Kaoru is sweet once in a while so that Ayase's falling in love with him will somehow be believable (for the sake of "the yaoi"), but overall he treats the poor boy (who looks like a 15 year old girl) with no respect, no love, no nothing. Can't even imagine a love blossoming from their messed-up behaviours, unless it's from Stockholm syndrome, which is again not rare in yaoi, but in here it spans on for who knows how many volumes, with no clear, pivotal turning point (yet)

The characters' body proportion (mostly Ayase vs everyone else) is ridiculous. They are your typical "shoujo manga replica" girly uke + manly seme combo pushed to the extreme. I must admit I have a soft spot for gothic lolita fashion so the random gothic lolita fanservice is pretty pleasing, but that's about it. The sex looks like it's between a man and a woman, and it doesn't help that Ayase looks so much like a girl with his invisible penis. I have a feeling the author just draws this with the framework of a shoujo manga in mind, and make the "female lead" a boy to spice things up a little, but still don't want to stray from your formulaic heteronormative relationship (which is a problem with a lot of yaoi mangas, even the more recent ones).

I give it two stars for the gothic lolita fanservice.

Bad art

I would not leave any comments on the contents of this manga, for I had so many failed attempts at trying to love/understand it. I consider myself as quite a pro at reading yaoi manga, though I am very very sceptical of the whole rape thing, I still tried to give this series a shot (because anyway, it is a classic and has been running for almost 12 years). However, on my first attempt, I could not even get to the first page of the story, for the character in nurse outfit in the character introduction section made me want vomit. The second attempt was when I tried to read chapter 28 (maybe more ot less) and found out that the art was still as horrible: Ayase looked positively like a delicate doll while the guys like Kanou was like a fucking bear, all of them was drawn by stiff, hard, emotionless strokes. The latest attempt was when I tried to read chapter 40. All I want to say that it is very disappointing that a modern manga (esp yaoi one) has such bad drawing.

The only thing that can rescue a bad-plotted (or a plot with bad content) manga is the art. If you find the plot of this manga totally unacceptable, I advise you to just simply ignore the manga, despite how famous it might be. Not only it sucks at content, it also sucks at the art. May you find it more worthy of your time watching the anime to get some grasps of this series instead.

Oh my lord...(WARNING: MATH IS USED)

This...this's...I'm not...I can't...GAAAH! Ok, this's really conflicting for me, because it's not necessarily a BAD manga, but calling it good is a bit of a stretch. I think the main problem is the story. I'm going to get a bit mathematical, so please bear with it, it's not that bad.

Ayase has to get out of his debt of $2,000,000,000 by selling his body for $500,000 each time. Do you know what that means? It means that he has to be brutally raped by this SCARY concoction of a man (named Kanou) 4,000 times! If you divide that by the number of days in a year (365), then he has two options:

Be raped by the scary man 10-11 times A DAY for a whole year, or be raped by the scary man once a day for 10-11 YEARS! Nevertheless, I'm sure Kanou will have days where he's extra pissed off and rape him more than once. Let's say...2-5 times. At the very LEAST, Ayase will be raped 2,000 times in 4-5 years. At the very MOST, Ayase will be raped 800 times in 1-2 years. Either way, Ayase's gonna be there for a long time experiencing unbearable pain.

This's...insane. This's way too much abuse that ANY person can handle without killing him/her/itself! And down right cruel if Kanou "loves" Ayase so much. And cruel if I have to use this much math! This's YAOI, who wants to think about MATH in YAOI!?

WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY: This story has too much material. No matter how creative you are, how spectacular your art is, how much you PAY US TO READ ALL OF IT (actually in that case, I'd read it all), it's going to get really boring and repetitive. And we're talking about a shouta being raped 4,000 times!

Notice how I don't use the word "sex". Because there is no "sex", just flat out, pitiless rape. This innocent little guy is going to suffer some severe physical AND mental pain...if this manga was more realistic. But no, rape is totally ok, absolutely 100% fantastic. Any manga that does that loses respect from me.

Are the characters any good? Well...not really. Ayase is either terrified or adorable, and Kanou is either gentle (for 5 seconds) or abusive. The only thing that's interesting is if Ayase's gonna make it out ALIVE!

Saying all these things makes it seem like I hate it but honestly, it does have that interesting pull to it. So if I were to be fully honest, if you want LONG CONTINUOUS RAPE, then read it. Otherwise, just go read a one-shot.

This is a rant on everything wrong with this manga

I heard a lot about this manga and my yaoi crazy friend finally made me read it. I can handle small amounts of rape but the rape was portrayed as being pleasurable made me feel sick. The characters were the biggest problem. The main character Anase I think his name was is the most whimpy character I've ever read. Even Dora the Explorer is stronger than him. In fact he makes her look like the fucking terminator. At first I could excuse his behaviour as he had just been raped by a psycho yakuza but then he spouted all this nonsense of loving the yakuza and he still insists on being straight
Wtf. Finally if you want a character to be 18 don't make him look like a 10 year old. ...... This is the complete opposite of a healthy loving relationship and it just gives homosexual relationships a negative depiction. I had been quite interested in this at first as it was the first time I had heard of a male yaoi author and I was very disappointed

Don't take the whole manga seriously

After going through the first two volume alone, I felt like I needed an ice bag. It pained me to read this manga. I can't understand why I even decided to read through a volume and a half. I guess the hope that I'd get something better out of it by reading it was too strong.

I can't speak for the manga as a whole, but I can give you something as close to an observation and inference as it can get.

I found the characters- MC, love interest, and all the other characters interesting. That is, if they're not going through the story proper- like omakes and side stories. Their personalities are interesting. It pains me to read them in the story though.

In an omake, their exaggerated actions, interaction and responses is forgivable. In the story itself, it is beyond unforgivable.

I think this is why there are people who seem to hate the manga. The main characters' personalities -Kanou being too masculine and Ayase being too wimpy, girly and clueless to the point of asking for saving grace- are too exaggerated for us. It's like there's no space for common sense to be in the picture. They aren't human enough for us.

It's sad to think that it's bad. This manga is too misunderstood, but I'm too pained by it to even take the time to understand it.

The only thing one can do is to not take the whole manga seriously. You'll hate the manga if you do.

Not that bad actually but don't expect much

I was always afraid of trying Okane Ga Nai cause even my yaoi loving brain was terrified of the dub/non-con, tiny MC and scary yakuza semi-rapist. It really pushes the "If they cum and enjoy it, is it still rape? " and other such discussions to the brink. Plus I found it when I was just starting to transition from shounen-ai to yaoi so naturally I ran away.
But lo and behold here I am writing a review so I must have eventually overcome my fear and read it like a man! Well nope!! It's just that I read Henshin Dekinai and really enjoyed it so I thought that if the same guys are handling this one then I might be able to stand it. And I was right! It actually isn't as horrifying as I thought it would be ( although I cheated a little and skipped the first few chapters) I ended up reading through all the updates. The side characters really take the cake in this one cause Ayase is a dumb bitch and his stupidity often times makes me sick. Kanou doesn't seem so horrifying after reading a disturbing amount of yaoi but he still needs to see a psychologist cause his thought process is bordering psychotic.

Over all, I say that if you can get over all the flaws it actually isn't that bad. At least the comedy distracts from the harsh and disturbing bits.
