With Libre planning to open an English eBook store we’ve decided to banish all Libre titles to the land of Nod, err, we’re treating them like they’re licensed. In typical licensing fashion, we’re releasing what we can and we’ll take down all of our Libre titles next week in two weeks when we release again, unless we get C&Ded before then and then, well, crap.
This does not include the Biblos titles that Libre hasn’t re-published under their label (ie: Oyasumi Darling was never published by Libre, Oyasumi Love Darling was) or that ran in a Biblos magazine but the tankoubon was published by a different company (ie: Togainu no Chi). Titles that will no longer be available soonish are…

You’re absolutely right in being proactive on the LIbre titles. It is a shame that they will not be available anymore; on the other hand, you put them within reach of a lot of readers who would not have enjoyed them otherwise (not translated, not available in Country, etc.).

I really appreciate you guys for indulging us yaoi fans yet maintaining the spirit and integrity of a respectable scanlation group. Although I’m disappointed about some of my favorite titles getting taken off (I love you Yoneda Kou <3), I understand where you're coming from. I just wish Libre would be more lax about their policies and not hog titles that they never intend to license so at least there's still a chance that a scanlator would pick it up and us fans will have access to them.

I truly hope Libre actually publishes these deserving titles, although the kindle PC is pretty much crap to read manga on since you can’t adjust the size.

I’ll point you to my harsh comment I left last week about half-assed anonymous releases. And I’m not being ignorant to the matter. I have worked on projects that’ve “mysteriously came out of nowhere”… and that’s all I’m going to say about that.

I respect your decision about Libre but am just a bit bummed out cuz of all that hard work you guys have done and are doing even now =/ And now I’m deeply saddened about Bukiyou na Silent. It’s been a long, long time since I’ve read yaoi, now it’s more of the occasional flick through thing going on for me, but I’m glad there are many things to come back to every now and then with your easily accessible site and regular updates. This update in particular shows how hard you guys work. Thank you.

I think it’s time for me to stop being a foreign leech cancer, learn japanese and import the raws I can. Or move to japan. =___= this ride has been awesome. You guys at DP have been infinitely hardworking and have brought so many mangaka to light – Doushitemou Furetakunai – i don’t even know if it would have been licensed in English without you guys. It’s just one example. So many scanlation groups prove to be a testing ground for publisher. I hope more titles can be offered at a reasonable price [$5 per chapter digitally is a little much - though a printed yaoi tanko is sort of like that - $15 ish, 5+ chapters].
I wish you the best, that you will handle official publishers with your grace and politeness. And you have set a fantastic example for so many scanlation groups.
I buy a lot of translated manga. I buy a lot of anime. I want this industry to thrive – And I really wanna learn japanese. Finally a push for me to get started.

this is truly news and what a monster release! sad to see some of our favorite titles making their exit (Dean is not pleased) but there will be new material for us to all fan on – great job, all!
Thank you for all your hard work in bringing all these wonderful mangas to the attention of English speaking community. I’ve enjoyed reading them immensely and it’s sad that some great titles will no longer be scanlated. However it’s thanks to scanlations groups such as Dangerous Pleasures that Japanese mangaka get their work exposed and supported by non-Japanese speaking communities. I hope Libre will be kind to all scanlation groups that abide by their cease letter.
Holy wows, what a release! Thank you for all of the hard work and for being responsible with pulling titles as they become license, in whatever form that may be. Peronsally, I hope that the Japanese companies do play with the idea of English releases. While I appreciate the American companies, they are SLOW. I’ve had preorders extended by six months to a year, and while I want to purchase these things, that is a ridiculous amount to wait. I can only hope that the Japanese companies may do something faster and more professional looking.

I feel for all the new readers who won’t have the access, though, being unknown people to the groups. Now I wish that I could find the old chapters to the new releases of Bukiyou na silent and Hachimitsu Darling and so many others on the list that I never got to read. Things are moving so quickly! But thanks that I did get to read the end of a couple that I have been following before they go into black hole land, at least for the foreseeable future!
