Release #119 – Taka ga Koi daro, Tengoku & Breathe

Another week, another set of releases. We apologize to those of you who still haven’t finished last week’s batch, but hopefully you won’t mind adding a few more to the pile. We’d like to thank all of you for the lovely comments you gave us last week. We were excited to share our special day with all of you, and reading through all of the comments made the day that much more special. Thank you again for all the support.

Speaking of special days, we’re having another party. This time it’s a birthday celebration for Natt, who’s one of our only 2 Japanese proofreaders, and another of our long time members. She’s quite busy with proofing, but we’re going to yank her away from it for a little bit so she can enjoy some cake and fun. Happy birthday, we hope you have a super wonderful day. *hugs*

I have some important things to mention now, so please bear with me. And if you read it all, you shall receive an excellent prize when done.

NEED! NEED! NEED! We really, really, REALLY need some Japanese and English proofreaders. Ones who are reliable and have plenty of free time and can proof a chapter/oneshot in about a week, at the most 10 days. Less time than that would be even better! We’re not kidding here. Our translators and editors work at an amazing pace, and when translation scripts are held up in proofing, it really slows things down.

Japanese Proofreaders: must be able to translate/fill in missing sfxs and translations as needed
English Proofreaders: must speak and read English fluently and have a very good understanding of grammar and punctuation

If you’re interested, please take a moment to read through the Proofing Tutorial. After your done, and you are extremely serious about doing proofing for us, send us an email at dp_scanlations@yahoo.com

PLEASE! Only those extremely serious about proofing for us (which means you won’t join, then slack off) apply.

PROJECTS: We’ve been getting emails asking us about this project or that one. If you look over to the left side of the website, you will see all our projects broken down into 3 sections: Current, Completed, Dropped. If a project is listed in the current section, then that means we are still working on it. Yes, some projects do seem to get released faster than others, but there are reasons for that. Just know that if a project is listed as “current”, then we are still working on it and will release it when it is ready. This means when it meets our standards. Sorry, but we won’t forgo quality over quantity/demands. Also, we only drop projects due to licensing or an agreement with another group. Please do not send us any more emails asking about projects. It takes time to answer them all, and that’s time we could be spending working on scanlations, as well as RL (such as work and school) stuff. Thank you for your understanding.

DOWNLOADING: We’ve also been getting emails asking us about how to download this file or that one. If you’ll look at the very top of the website, you will see where it says “Downloads”. If you click on there, you will be taken to our download page, where everything is laid out very neatly and in an easy to understand way. We offer you many ways to download, and all our releases are hosted either by very generous people or free file sharing sites. PLEASE only email us about downloading if you find a link is broken. Once again, it takes time to reply to these emails, and we really do have plenty of other things to be doing.

I do apologize for sounding a bit “bitchy”, but these are things we’ve said many times before, and after constantly repeating ourselves, it does start to irritate us.

Ok, now that we’ve taken care of all that, we shall move on to the good part. RELEASES! This week we’ve got the next chapters in two my favorite projects.

@Myuki: The download link’s at the top of the site, slap bang right in the middle (4th from left and right). Nothing’s happened to it, far as I can see. ^_^

@iammokona: I think DP has guidelines on this somewhere on their FAQ page (also located at the very top of the website). Perhaps you can check and follow the necessary procedures stated there? Think you might get a reply faster that way.
